57 - Saturday in the Art

Riverside Arts Market on Saturday, my sista performed in the afternoon. For the first time in over 20 years, she was backed by other musicians, a bass player and drummer. Andy would periodically jump in with some lead guitar riffs.  Ohmaya joined TC on violin for 3 songs.  Really added a different dimension to the songs.

Typically, it’s not too bad at the stage under the bridge as there’s a breeze off the water. Yesterday, though, it was HOT and there was no breeze. Watching TC and the boys, you’d never know the heat was the temperature as their sets were smoking hot! A great mix of original material and cover songs, I know the audience and people on that end of the Arts Market were enjoying the music.

Every time I’m there, there seems to be young kids running and playing in front of the stage. They’re always fun to watch. This time, along with the kids, were a couple people fishing off the seawall behind TC. One lady, not only was she catching fish, but she was bopping to the music as well.

Afterwards, 10 of us went to The Brick for an early dinner and celebration of TC’s gig. BW and AG came. It was so great to spend time with them again. They’re really wonderful people. Got to see my ‘bro’, TC’s brother, and damn, he’s looking good!

TC has amazing talent. Great time at her gig.

  1. The arts market is a wonderful new tradition in Jax...when you don't break your ankle there!
